IFS Sunday School

Islamic Foundation Sunday School (IFSS) was established in 1974 and has proudly served the community for over 40 years, focusing on building character. As one of the earliest weekend schools in North America, founded by esteemed Islamic scholars and academicians from the Chicagoland area, IFSS is dedicated to providing comprehensive Islamic education. Our curriculum emphasizes Islamic Studies, Quranic Studies, and Tajweed, operating on Sundays from August through May each year.

With an annual enrollment exceeding 300 students, IFSS boasts an experienced faculty comprising 40 teachers, 30 teaching assistants, and 10 administrative staff members. Our school is committed to meeting the educational needs of young Muslims in a structured and nurturing environment.

IFSS offers classes from Pre-K and KG through 11th grade, catering to all school-age children. In addition to academic studies, we enrich our students’ experiences with a variety of social and cultural events, special guest lectures, and fun activities designed to keep learning engaging and motivating.

Under the leadership of Islamic Foundation Chairman, Br. Aftab Khan, investments have been made to enhance parental convenience through an online registration system, seamless communication with teachers and administration, and continuous monitoring of students’ progress throughout the academic year.

Our digital transformation initiative with Muntazim, a state-of-the-art school management software solution, allows us to stay connected with parents, teachers, and administration. This advancement marks a significant step forward in enhancing the management and administration of Islamic Foundation Sunday School, ensuring greater efficiency and effectiveness in our educational mission.
