Community Health Clinic
“Community Health Awareness Program” is intended to offer a free service to the community to promote basic healthcare. This service includes an on-site clinic conducted monthly at Islamic Foundation for community members.
In addition to testing blood pressure, blood glucose, hemoglobin A1C, LDL etc., community members are educated on diet, basics of common disease, and lifestyle modifications to improve healthcare outcomes.
We offer physicians, pharmacists, optometrist, dentists on site. Our medical practitioners are supported by volunteers include pharmacy students, medical students, and community youth.
At the Islamic foundation, this program is a collaboration between the Chicago Muslim Medical Alliance (a non-profit local physician group focused on healthcare, education, philanthropy) and the MEPA (Middle Eastern Pharmacy Association) from Midwestern University.
